Would You Ever Guess Wednesday....

Good morning my fellow Crafters. This is my second post for My Cricut Craft Room, and today is Would You Ever Guess Wednesday. This is the day were we explore all the options the cartridges have....without using the main images.

I thought this would be a breeze, ha, boy was I wrong. I started 2 different projects before I got into a good groove with my 3rd. Once I got going though, I realized that some of these carts have the best secondary images!! I think Disney- Happily Ever After is my favorite for non- main images.

 Here is my project:

I made a mini album for my son's girlfriend. Her birthday was last tuesday, and last monday I started this...last minute! All the cuts are NOT the main images. The title above is from the "PHRASES" key of GYPSY WANDERINGS. Its cut at 1inch.

This "Hello" is from LOVELY FLORAL cut at 1.5 inches
"Chillin with my Peeps" is from STRAIGHT FROM THE NEST cut at 1 inch
The Balloons is from LYRICAL LETTERS and they were cut at 2 inches
This is the card I made to go with it. The birdie is from DISNEY- HAPPILY EVER AFTER cut at 2 inches and the sentiment is from STRAIGHT FROM THE NEST

First Post for My Cricut Craft Room

This is my first post on My Cricut Craft Room, and boy am I excited!!! Today is Theme Day Thursday,  and the theme we're following today is A Child's Year Cartridge.

This was a great theme for me...I've had this cart for awhile and never used it. Could never figure out what to do with it. But then I had and idea. One of the little girls I take care of everyday is going to be a big sister in October. I've gotten really close to the family, and when they found out they were having another girl, the mom emailed me first to tell me:) I even got to know the name before anyone else does. (They find out that tidbit once she's born) So I made her this:

I used the A Child's Year cart for both the font, cut at 2 inches, and the fairy cut at 4 inches. I have to say, this is now my new favorite cartridge for the font! I absolutely love it!! I used Martha Stewart glitter in Rose to sparkle up the first letter in each part of her name, and to make the fairy sparkle trail too.

Other supplies used:
Cardstock- Core'dation colorcore
Pattern paper- Scrap from my stash
Ribbon- scrap
Adhesieve- Atg gun, Liquid Glass
Flowers-Recollections

My Girls- A 3 Girl Jam post

This post is bitter/sweet. I love, love, love being a DT for 3 Girl Jam, but sadly this is my last scheduled post:(  I decided I will go out showing you one of my favorite past time activities, hanging with my kids....Summer is my all time favorite season, and it just seems to go by so fast.

I hardly ever use white card stock as a background, but I wanted the colors to jump off the page. The yellow ribbon is just the perfect shade. And I braided the pink, green, and yellow twine...I couldn't decide which one to use, so I used all 3:) And have I mentioned how amazing the bow maker is...I'm so addicted to it, that everything has bows on it now:)

Ribbon- Daffodil Twine-Pink,Green,Yellow Bow Maker

And don't forget the DT call Julie has going one right now...check it out here. You don't want to miss out on this experience!!

I muttled through it, and she had a BLAST!!

 Here's the party pics:

Now, I have to go catch up on all the blogs, my DT requirements and laundry! If anyone needs any info on how I made anything, leave me a note, and I'll post how I made it:)

Lotsa Kicks....

My girls are not dancers, they are way to clumsy for anything really, but they are not graceful in any shape or form. That being said, we needed some sort of after school activity for them, so they play soccer.

Last year was my youngest daughter's first year playing, and egads it was a disaster! She cried almost the whole time (except snack time) and if she was on the field either me or my husband had to be holding her hand. In all fairness to her though, the whole team was like that lol. So this year we tried again, and if it was a fail then we were done with soccer. Well, she surprized the heck out of us and she LOVED it. If there was a rain cancel, she was so upset. And after every game she would ask how many sleeps til the next game! The best part of this.....she was more concerned with how many times she KICKED the ball, and didn't care one bit if she scored a goal, or what the final score was!! After every game she would say "Mom, I had Lotsa Kicks today!!"

Supplies:
Cardstock- Black CTMH
Pattern Paper- Jellibean (I think..have to double check)
Cartridge- Paper doll Dress up - Net @ 3 inches, Ball and Flags @ 5
A Child's Year- Font cut at 1 inch
orange stickles

Off to finish my ladybugs (again) cuz tomorrows her BirthdayParty!!
