Still Waiting....

The worst part about ordering on line, is the waiting. I ordered the gypsy on my birthday, August 21. It was a birthday present from the DH. I paid the extra $5.00 to have it delivered in 6 to 10 days. Today is the ninth day, and I am soooooo sick of waiting. I just want to have it a play around with it already!!!! I also ordered the CTMH cricut cart package on the 15th, and still haven't gotten that either!!! I've put off scraping til I get these items, and I can't take it anymore :( I ended up breaking down and doing a couple of LO last night, which I'll post later, and the DH works tonight, so I'll do some scraping tonight too. I have to many books to finish not to just bite the bullit and scrap already.

So, on the weekend, the DH went to play football, and the DS went to a friends for a sleepover, so I took the 2 DS to the ZOO. Things were going great, and I got alot of great pictures. I got a new camera at Christmas time, so I was loving the shots I was taking. We got half way through the ZOO, when I wanted to change the iso speed, and somehow, I ended up erasing ALL the pictures on my camera :( There were even some pics on there that I hadn't had a chance to put on my computer of my son's first trip to the BAR after turning 18!!! (yes, I did go to the bar with him and his gf ). I almost cried!!

There was a good thing that happend this weekend though.... my mom took me birthday shopping and  I got 2 awesome dresses and a smoking pair of shoes!! My stepbrother is getting married Sept. 11th, so I needed a new dress....well, not really, I just wanted a new dress :) I'll post some wedding pics after the wedding.

Well folks, I'm off to do some house work (maybe) but I'll post some of my LO later on today.

Happy Scraping :)

Birthday weekend

Its my birthday this sunday!! I'm so excited....not to actually age, but the DH said he was buying me the gypsy :). I've only been hinting about it for the last year!! LOL.

I've been fighting this nasty cold for the last week, but I've still managed to get some LO done. Its time consuming for me to get them done....my girls always want to scrap too, and I usually end up making them stuff on the cricut. After 2 hrs of scraping I usually only have half a page done :( It can be very frustrating considering I have my everyday book, my third florida trip book, my Jamaica trip book, and my dad's birthday book all to complete. On top of this hurdle, I only try scrap when the hubby isn't home. He works shift work and long hours as a correction officer, so sometimes our time together is limited.

I've starting following so many blogs lately, and I've realized that haha, I have a lot to learn. So folks, bear with some of my post til I can figure out what Im doing :) One thing I have noticed is that I should be posting what products Im using. For the most part, I dont know, haha. I order from an online store and whenever I'm in the states I hit up as many stores as I can, so I dont always pay attention to what company they're from. From now on, when I shop, and scrap, I will amke sure to write down what I'm using so that I'll be able to pass that information on to you guys. Along those lines, I should mention, that  I love CTMH so a lot of the stuff I have is from there.

As per my daughters rules, if I do one Florida page, then I have to do one Jamaica page, then one everyday page, then one dad's page....so here are 2 of the LO's I did last night. The Magic Kiss is from Florida. While at Epcot we saw Sleeping Beauty (those LO's to come soon) and after she flirted with my DS (11) she hugged my girls and even kissed my baby's cheek :) One of my favorite memories. The other LO is of my DH. After 2 flights and a 12 hr layover in the Toronto airport (overnight I might add), we caught our transfer bus to our resort. The pic is him enjoying our first authentic Jamaican Red Stripe at a roadside restaurant. That LO is all CTMH products...that much I know :)

Hope you enjoy them and Happy Scraping :)

Monday Already?

Ugh, the weekend always goes so fast...why is that? I have a home daycare, and as much as I love the kids I take care of, I still dread Mondays. We had a busy weekend. We decided last weekend that we would dig up the front flower bed. The previous owners had planted 3 bushes in there and they just weren't doing very good, so we dug 'em up. Had I not been in such a hurry to get it done I would have taken a before picture like I usually do, but I forgot this time :(. I will post what it looks like now, and the finished product, once its done:)

The DH had football at 1, so before we started our great dig, I had 2 hours to scrap. I've been trying to use my cricut machine to the most of its abilities, as well as using all the stamps I've collected along the way. (layouts below) Whats the point of having all of this cool stuff, if it doesn't get used, right? I dont have alot of cartridges, but slowly but surely I'm collecting my favorites first. Anything after that is just icing on the cake :) I just ordered Cindy Loo, which I've been eyeing for about 5 months now. So excited to get that. And I'm also waiting for the CTMH cricut bundle...oh the possibilites :)

I've got 2 debates going on in my head right now. 1. Do i get a gypsy? My birthday is coming up in a week, so I did ask for it. If the DH doesn't get it for me then I might just buy it myself....not to sure though :( and the second...I have the Cricut personal cutter, but have been thinking that maybe I'll give it to my DD who's 8. She just loves cutting paper dolls. Then I would buy the expression. Its a large amount of money, but the things that I could create with it!!!

Well, anyways, as I ponder these 2 questions, I will let you look at my layouts. I am a scrapper that like simple lines, and lots of bling, hope you enjoy them.

Happy scraping :)

Now What?

Boy oh boy...I have some problems :). I'll start with my biggest 2

1. Patterned Paper. I love Patterned paper. We have very little options here on where to buy it, so I usually hit 2 or 3 stores whenever we go out of town, or I shop online. Now here's my problem....I will only buy the papers that I LOVE. Then, once I buy it, I never want to use it. Sometimes I think of just framing the paper. Would that be weird? So here I am spending 3-4 hours in a store pouring over 1000's of sheets of paper, only to want to frame it once at home.

Then on to problem number 2

2. Yesturday is a good example of #2. I go down to my room to scrap, I actually feel the mojo, so Im excited. I sit down, pick my pictures and paper, and start to cut and glue, when all of a sudden, the mojo is gone. So I now have a page that's "done" but so lacking something. My layouts are pretty simple to begin with. I dont like alot of "stuff" on my pages, but yesturdays layout is really missing something. And to make things even more difficult, I have 4 books on the go! UGH.

So my plan today is to get some pages done, and then post them tonight...wish me luck, and Happy scraping :)

Just starting Out

My very first scrapbooking post.....now, what do I put. Last year we moved into a much larger house. We spent 5 years looking to upgrade and just when we found one we liked, we were outbid :( Finally, on a spur of the moment look, we found one and put in an offer before we had a chance to change our mind. We got it!!! My excitment wasn't so much then we finally found a house that had enough rooms that each of my children could have there own rooms, it was because I could forget scraping in the furnace room, because the new house had enough space that I could have my very own space!!! Dream come true. Here's a picture of what its starting to look like.....ignore the flooring though :)

I've done a few changes...and I'll post some pics when its completed. Happy Scraping :)
