New Look

So, How do you like it. My blog got a makeover:) I'm thrilled and I would like to thank Chris at Get Inspired With ChatterScene. She did an amazing job, and I even have my own button on the sidebar. How exciting!!! Stop by Chris and asay hi, and check out her other works of art:)

Little update...

Well, I had this huge plan to finish my Vegas book last night and start packing for the Crop & Create that Scrapbook and Cards Today is hosting here in the city this weekend, but I got a phone call about 2 pm from my daughters school. They told me she fell in gym and her wrist hurt. They were going to bring her home because she was in a bit of pain, and felt I should get it checked out.....So they brought her home, and the second she saw me, she burst into tears...poor thing. After frantically making a hundred phone calls, and just as many texts, my 18 year old and his girlfriend took her to the ER. When My husband finally called me back, he went to relieve them. At 5:30 I went to relieve him, as he had to get ready for work....Well at 8:30 pm she was in a cast, and we were on our way home. By time I got home, I was to tired to do anything. So, today I must pack for my Crop, which I am uber excited for, and hopefully on monday I will have some exciting things to show you. Have a great weekend all:)

In a Rut...

 Its terrible. Nothing seems to be getting out of my creative rut. I go into my room to do a page, and if I don't just sit there and starte, I end up fuddling through a page only to dislike it after:( And to make matters worse, everyday I say I'm going to get in there...only because hubby has been working a ton of OT night shifts, and instead, I end up laying on the couch watching Grey's Anatomy on Netflix. (I'm on season 5 now lol) I have the Create and Crop next weekend, so I hope that kicks my butt into gear.

This LO was my first attempt with glitter mist...(can't REALLY tell though) I bought 5 bottle of Archiving Angel glimmer mist from a lady on a FB group. I LOVE it...I just dont know how to use it yet:) The paper is My Mind''s Eye, The chip board stars are CTMH and the ribbon was just something I picked up at Hobby Lobby on one of my many trips into the US. And again, I apologize for the picture. I have this fancy smanchy camera and I dont know how to use it:( I really should take a class.

  Anywas, 2 posts in 2 days, so lets hope I get back into the swing of things. Happy scrapping folks:)
 

Pretty Little "Angel"

 Who's loving this weather? Man, for us here in Winnipeg this +8 is amazing (almost 50F). And this weekend is supposed to be 22C. All of the snow in my yard has melted completely, sadly though, leaving a soupy, poopy mess from my dog:( Any takers on clean up duty?....Ya, didn't think so.

  So, today I'm going to show you one of the LO I completed for the mini contest me and my SIL and MIL are doing. So far, for the month of march I have completed 3 single page LO's and 1 2 pager. I finished a page in my *SMASH* book, and 4 pages in my mini Las Vegas book:) in a week and a half I have the Create and Crop, so thats 2 days of scrappy goodness;) You'll have to bare with me on the pictures...I'm banished to the basement with my daycare kids because the hubby worked some double time last night and got home at 7am. If I even have these kids outta my sight for even a second, all heck breaks loose. So I was stuck taking pictures in my craft corner, and the pics aren't the greatest.

So all of the stuff on this page is scraps and supplies from my stash. The flowers are Recollections, the Twine is Mind's Eye, cardstock in CTMH and the pattern paper, I dont quite rememeber as I cut the label off :( And again, I apologize for the yucky picture. Happy Scrapping ladies:)

Lion or a Lamb?

Well, for us here in Winnipeg, The saying "In like a lion, out like a lamb"is proving to be true so far. It started snowing late last night, and has contiuned on to morning, and now into the earyl afternnon. Yucky. I'm not a snow person. Bring me summer any day.

 For the month of March, me, my SIL, MIL, and cousin in law (hee hee, she's more a cousin to me then my own) have a little competition going on to see how many layouts we can complete in 1 month. There's no big prize or anything. We were all lost in a funk and needed the kick in the pants to get our mojo in gear and get some stuff done. My SIL and MIL and me stay at home, so I think the bigger challange is for Dawn who, not only has a newly walking 1 yr old, but now has to juggle being back at work. I know those days all to well, as I went back to work with all of my kids but the last one. I completed 1 layout last night, which I will post after I get a picture. I'm going to try to do 2 today, but not only do I have 4 daycare kids her today, none of my kids have school, so.....7 kids means, probably not alot of scraptime til later tonight. Hubby works the over night shift tonight, and if I can get netflix working tonight I may have a chance to get in my room. Fingers crossed:)

  For today, I'm going to show you a layout I did on Feb 29th. I used a sketch that my MIL got for me from the designer Jana Eubanks. She has some great sketches, but alot of them are 2 or 3 picture pages, and I was looking for a 4 or 5 picture lo. I'll keep looking:)

Went out of my comfort zome and added the little banner thingy. but I like how it turned out:) I'm having some bloggie issues, so if anyone knows of a challange this can be added in, please let me know:)

 And a question to all paper hoarders, er, collectors Hee hee. Has anyone made a paper stacker out of cereal boxes? If you have, drop me a line and let me know how it turned out? how it worked?
