Hey folks, Welcome to the first ever 3 Girl Jam Design Team Blog Hop. If you just stumbled upon me today, head on over to Julie at A Little Bit of Bling. to start the hop at the beginning. You should be coming from Jessica E at Chick n Scrap, if so, your on the right track:)
I want to thank all my old followers and welcome my new followers. Its been great talking you you and can't wait to meet new friends. Now on to the nitty gritty.... My name is Angie Ashuk and I am a 34 (almost 35 shhhh dont tell) year old mother of 4 ranging in age from 18 to 4. I live in central Canada...Winnipeg, Manitoba. I started scrapping about 12 years ago, and took a small break right after that. I got into it again about 9 years ago and have never looked back. About 2 years ago, after moving into a new house I was able to finally have my own "space" and since then my crafting has taken on a whole new dimension. I started making everything, just not cards....me and cards don't seem to mix. I love trying new things, and if I'm not crafting I'm reading. I LOVE to travel and have a not so secret love with DisneyWorld.
I am very proud and excited to be apart of this amazing team. I was lucky enough to have won some 3 Girl Jam ribbon from a few blogs, and fell in love with it right from the start. I love the colors and the feel. I've mentioned before, it truely is an amazing product. Unfortunatlly, I wasn't able to recieve some of the new goodies the rest of the team recieved, in time (being in Canada and then the Easter holiday), but I was able to make something with a bit of my treasured stash:
I made this barrette holder to hold my DD's pretties. The ribbon is wonderful crinkled or ironned straight. I just love it.
And here's a small glimps of the banner I made for my other DD's class birthday party. I just used a bit of the crinkle ribbon on the flower buds for some great texture:
Great colors eh? So, whats a blog hop with some great prizes right? Julie has been kind enough to donate a wonderful prize to one of my lucky followers. A twine sampler pack, which is new to her store!!!
All you have to do is:
1. Become a follower of mine
2. Become a follower of all the rest of the lovely ladies blogs ( but why wouldn't you want to, they're all great)

Party Planner...
So out of all my kids, I only have 1 that I have to party plan for. 2 are " too old" 1 hasn't started school yet, so I'm thankful right now about that. This is not to say I don't plan parties, but the family ones are was less pressure then the class parties. Next year, when the youngest is in kindergarten, I will be planning 2 class parties, then I'm in trouble lol.
So far I have made the invites (see that post here) and a banner (sneak peek during our 3 Girl Jam Blog Hop). I've got tshirts with there names on them and hoping to make buttons for them. Today I'm gonna show you 2 little things I made for the goodie bags (which I will show you on a later post):
A bookmark
and a cute little post-it holder
Cute eh? Very simple, but for 9 9 year olds, its about as fancy as I'm will to spend time on:)
Cardstock- Bazzill
ink and stamp- CTMH
Butterfly punch- Fiskers
label punch- SU
glitter ritz
twine - Twinery
bling
Off to think about the buttons:) Happy Scraping. Don't forget about our 3 Girl Jam Blog hop tomorrow starting off with Julie at A Little Bit of Bling.

Busy, Busy, Busy
Wow, I still can't get over the fact that I made the 3 Girl Jam design team. Its my first team I've been on, so I hope I can live up to the product....but I am so excited and raring to go. The last couple of weeks have kept me busy, busy, busy. I had the Crop and Create 2 weeks ago, which lead into Spring Break. The start of Spring Break was a rough one with my family getting the flu, but not all at once...one at a time. So including my hubby, that was 4 sick people. Not to be gross, but thats a lot of vomit. Then on Saturday I had an all day crop with my MIL and CIL (cousin in law). Sunday, my daughter had a birthday party, which an hour before, I still hadn't gotten a gift. My Hubby was at work, and at some point I still needed to pick up my 12 yr old from his friends house on the other side of the city. My daughter's birthday is wednesday and I still have yet to buy her her gifts. Whew, I'm exhuasted just thinking about it.
On the plus side though....because of the Crop and Create I was just wiped out. So for the crop on saturday I decided to just focus on getting stuff ready for my daughters Class birthday party which is on the 14th. Easter is next weekend, and her friend in her class has the same birthday, so her party was the sunday party, so I pushed Payton's til the 14th. I was able to make the invitations, a banner and the bookmarks for the goodie bags. Because I'm making as much as I can, and because between her birthday and Easter and all that comes up in May I made these items very simple, but pretty.
Every year we have a theme for their parties...this year I thought the simplest theme would be a color theme. Well that was before my daughter picked this color combo. I was hoping for pink and black. I love this color combo, but boy is it hard to find things that match.
The card shape is a simple shape cut from the CTMH Art Philosophy cart.
Cardstock-Bazzill
Stamp and ink- CTMH
Glitter- Glitter Ritz
bling
A very simple idea and layout, but I think they turned out great. Just an fyi though, something I soooo did not even think about....teal does not show up on dark purple cardstock ( duh, I know). Well there you have it folks. Stay tuned for the rest of the party planning, and of course some 3 Girl Jam projects. And once I have it all figured out I will have the whole design team posted on my side bar :) Happy Scrapping.
