Summer keeps me busy, and so far this summer, all I have had time for is the projects for My Cricut Craft Room. I'm having a blast doing them, but don't worry, I'll have more projects for you all as summer ends and Fall begins. This week, my project for Would You Ever Guess Wednesday is a tag. I've never made a tag before, so this was a challange. But I kinda like how it turned out.
I made a little owl Tag to put into my youngest daughters snack bag on her first day of kindergarten. (I'm having a hard time with her starting school)
Cartridges:
Tag shape- Gypsy Wanderings cut @ 4.5 and the layer @ 4
Owl- Gypsy Wanderings- cut @3
Owl always Love you- Phrases cut @ 2
I cut the 2 sizes of tags because the Gypsy Wanderings doesn't have a layer feature. I used my Atg to stick the smaller cut onto the larger cut. I then welded the stick and the owl together using the gypsy because I wanted it in 1 piece and not the 2 it was supposes to be. I pop doted him to the tag for a bit of demension. I added some bling for the eyes. I cut the sentiment at 2, but it too a couple of cuts. I tried at 1 and it really was too small. So 2 worked.
I added some bling, and there you have it:) I hope my little monkey likes it.

Brought to You Today, by the Letter G
Thats right, today is the day we bring you a project either made with a cartridge that starts with a letter, or a cut with that letter. I choose a cut, and I picked a guitar. My first instinct was a gecko, but I didn't really know how to use that cut, so on to plan B I went.
I have to say, as time goes on, I am getting more comfortable being on this team. Its a lot of work to come up with a project everyweek, and sometimes the themes make it a real brain teaser, but I truely am having a great time. I pshed myself out of my creative comfort zone and made a card today. If you go back through my blog, you will see that I don't make any cards. They're just not my forte. But I gave it a whirl:
Cartridges:
Card shape- Art Philosophy- cut @ 5.5
Star- Art Philosophy-Cut @ 3 (basic /layer- shift)
Guitar- American Alphabet (Expression 2 built in cart)-cut @ 3
You Rock- American Alphabet-cut @ 4
All paper was scraps I had in my stash.
Ribbon-Stash
Twine
I wish I had more pictures to show you how I made this, haha, but sadly after using my gypsy for a year now, I had forgotten how to use my E2 without it. I also can't sync the built in carts to my gypsy because MY laptop died and I;m stuck using the DH's netbook. It was a challange trying to rememeber how to choose cuts, and size them and cut just using the cricut. This card took me about 5 hours to figure out, so this is what I have:) I kinda like it. I don't have a sentiment on the inside yet, because I'm not to sure who I will give it too and for what occassion, so I'm just leaving it blank til then:)
If you wanna see more "G" projects, or some cool Imagine projects, head over to Erica's blog at My Cricut Craft Room, and show my DT sister's some love:)

Theme Day Thursday
Happy Theme Day Thursday everyone. Today's theme was BEDTIME. I thought this one was going to be a pretty simple layout for me. I knew what I wanted to do and everything...somehow, its not what I had imagined though.
Both my girls have about 16 stuffed animals with them when they go to bed. Somedays I have trouble finding my oldest in the mornings because she's buried under all of the them. I left the large flag for journaling. I didn't have time to print my pictures for this last out either.
Cuts:
Puppy- Cut @ 3- EveryDay Paper Dolls
Bear- Cut@ 3 Slumber Party Lite
Pillow-Cut @ 3 Everyday Paper Dolls
Font- Cut @ 1 A Child's Year
Cuts-
Monkey-Cut @ 3- Everyday Paper Dolls

We've had some HOT days here, so I'm sure today will be no different. Although, the mornings have a fall like feel to them lately. Its kinda nice and sad at the same time, I love fall, but my last baby starts kindergarten in September:( Hope everyone has a wonderful day, and if you're in the part of the US still under the huge heatwave, stay cool!

This month I choose to showcase:
H2O
Mickey's Font andLife's a Beach
Here is my first project: Life's a Beach
In order to get all the layer for everything, I used my trust Gypsy and just hid the elements I didn't want on the same image. HOW did I ever scrapbook without the gypsy!!!?!
I wanted it all to match so I laid it out on the gypsy so that everything that was supposed to be red was in one corner, and orange in another, and no forth.
Then I laid the paper down, and made my cuts.
Cut sizes:
Palm trees- 4
Chair-3
Umbrella-3
Pineapple drink-3
"Retreat/Seahorse" 4
For my next project the plan was to only use H2O, but once I got going on it, I thought, hey I could use both H2O and Mickeys Font, so here it is:
Laying out my idea. I'm a visual person and need to see all my supplies.
"All Wet" from the H2O cart. Cut at 4
Finished layout. I was in Jamaica, but love that it was a cloudy day, so that this all kinda went together.
I used Mickey' s Font to cut out Dunn's. This cart is truly one of my favorite goto carts. I use this font ALL the time.
So there you have my 3 cartridges. Hope you enjoyed my projects.
