Creative Scrappers #197

 Its Leap Day!! Really that means nothing to me, no one has a birthday that I know of, but I still find it so neat they can just add a day to the calender every 4 years. There's a little girl in my daughters class who's birthday is today. So neat. And with the end of Febuary, comes March. Duh. March is a some what busy month this year. My sister's birthday is the 8th, her daughter, my niece is the 12. I have the Create and Crop on the 23rd and 24th, plus another crop through my cousin in law the following saturday...plus, the kids Spring Break starts on the 23rd. And then, since my daughters birthday is April 4 I have to start getting ready for that. Whew!! March, April, May, June July, and August, The whole summer really, is a slew of busyness for me.

 Anyways, I've been in and out of my craftroom for the last couple of days. I start things, then get frustrated or tired and leave them for another day. I hate doing that. Once I start a project, I like to follow through and just get it done. Last night I started one, but because of some sleep issues I'm having, I had to finish it up this afternoon. Then I was somewhat on a roll, and decided to give a sketch challange a try. I do follow sketches sometimes, but thought, I'll join the challange. So, I gave sketch #197 fromCreative Scrappers a try. A fellow blogger, and friend from the outside world does sketches for them (you can check out Nicole here)

hmmm, not a great picture, I thought it turned out better then that. Dang it!! I just tried to redo the pic, but its too dark out now. Oh well, will have to do.

Haven't fallen off the Face of the Earth...

 I really haven't. Life just seems to be getting in the way. I have barely started my mini album I'm making, not to mention catching up somewhat to my everyday layouts. I really need to get in my room though.

  I realized a while back that I didn't post a pic of the card I made. I'm not a card maker. It frustrates me. But I really felt I needed to make this one. My sis in law entered a Bikini Fitness Competition in October. This chickie worked her butt off to get in some crazy shape, and then got the guts and courage to stand in front of a huge hall of people in a bikini and some really crazy high heel shoes. She knew the chances of winning her first competition was low, but she set out to do this as a personal challange, and that it was made me want to give her this card. Regardless of how I feel about these competitions, her courage and dedication was simpily amazing and awe inspiring. So, here is the card:

Little behind

2 weeks ago, I was lucky enough to get a break from the real world and go to Vegas!!! I was on our bucket list of things to one day do, and we got to do it!!! My inlaws were nice enough to come and spend 5 days here with my kids so that me and DH could go. We had a great time (but honestly, won't be in any hurry to go back). Now that I've been back for a fill week, I figured I'd have some stuff done. Sadly, I do not. I think I left my mojo in Vegas. I'm hoping to venture into my room tonight, and at the very least, clean it up. Hopefully soon, I will have a layout to share.

 On a quick other note....I signed up for the new linky thing because of all this buisness of Blogger ended, but I'm still a little clueless on the details of all of this. If you have any info on it, could you help me out? Thanks guys.

I Want sooo Much.....

stuff!!! Lots of stuff. lol. I am slowly becoming addicted to ribbon...all types, but I love the crinkle ribbon. And twine, oh how I love twine. And now a new obsession is anything SMASH. I have a book, and some items, I just want more. I have the idea of what I'm going to do in my book, but I keep telling myself I can't start it until I get MORE stuff. ahhh, the circle I get myself into. Anyways, here's another layout I did of our trip last year to DisneyWorld.

 On our previous 2 trips we took the kids to Disney but never went to Universal Studio's. We didn't know if they would have as much fun there. But this last trip, my In laws (as with the other 2 trips) and my parents were all there. We did Universal as a whole family. It was so worth they money. This was in front of the Kwik-E-Mart. My 12 yr old LOVED the Simpsons as a younger kid, so this was a high light of his trip:)

I made this in November, and I can't find the list of supplies I used...sorry about that folks:) Well, I'm off to online window shop....and dream of SMASH book supplies.

Treasure Lifes MOments...

*Sigh*....I've been MIA so far this year. Sorry about that folks. After the holidays a funk set in, and while I was scrapbooking, and visiting bloggy friends, I just didn't have the energy to blog myself. Then when I finally did my kids each got sick, then I got sick. Still suffering with the sniffles, and my 12 yr is home sick today to, but we are ll somewhat on the mend. (We better be...me and the DH are off to Vegas next week)

 So, what have I been up too? Well, I made a ribbon holder (pics to come if people ask, otherwise I'm not going to post it) I've done 4 or 5 layouts, and yesturday I decided to make a mini album for our trip. I started a 12x12 album for our Jamaica trip in May, but I find it a little over-whelming to try finish that book, as well as our Disney book, as well as our every day book. But I wanted a book for our Vegas trip. Its a bucket list trip and its very important to me but having a whole large book seemed like a lot of work for a 5 day trip...a mini album seemed like the way to go. So once I have a page or 2 completed in it I will post my progress. I even applied to be a DT on a couple of blogs. I didn't make it, but forcing myself out of my comfort zone was more what I was trying to do, and if I got on, well then hey major BONUS.

 I am posting a layout that I finished the other day. It took me about 3 days to finish it because of my cold, but its done. Its pretty clean and simple, but thats the way I scrapbook:)

 I wish I could tell you what I used, but almost all of it was from my stash. With the exception of the light blue and pink crinkle ribbon. The was from 3 Girl Jam that I won in a blog hop I believe.  I love her ribbons, and once my trip is over, I'll be stopping by there a getting some more colors. Its a really good price, AND she has random giveaways to one lucky buyer:) (my little plug for the day ;) )
